We are fascinated by everything related to food – food itself and its origin, form and texture, types and technologies, how products get on our plates, senses people experience while eating – what physiological reactions it causes, what emotions it arouses, what inner and outer factors influence the process of food consumption.
We offer a spectrum of a wide variety of senses in our events, thus our attention has been attracted by a definite fact – taste is directly influenced by various factors such as food decoration, atmosphere, mood, background music and a lot of other factors. By altering and adapting these components, it is possible to create unbelievable taste adventures – this was how the idea about the first research Food Symphony was born in Latvia.
Research project consists of two parts – research and practical part. In the frame of practical part, three knowledgeable experts – scientist of music, chef, and neuromarketing expert together with us will research music impact on food perception. During this research, a 7-course menu will be developed with a particular piece of music for each dish. The practical part, based on research results, will be Food Symphony event during which the guests with friends, colleagues or their family members will have an opportunity to enjoy multisensory dinner.
Nowadays, food and music pairing is a trend, but a 7-course dinner research, carried out by Heinrihs Erhards, chef renowned in Latvia and abroad, Valdis Bernhofs, musician-scientist and composer and Einārs Kupecs, neuromarketing expert, will turn out to be an unforgettable adventure for gourmet and music connoisseurs.
